Funtime Summer and Winter Trips,

Each year we source grants to enable us to run a summer and winter schemes whereas families can take advantage of low cost trips to parks and venues that they would not normally be able to visit. Watch here for venues for 2008

The Kirkton Beat,

a fun group and is teaching children of all ages to play drums. They have been invited to open a few local events and the children are quite rightly proud of themselves. This encourages self confidence and team participation as they learn to co-ordinate together. This group also has a waiting list at the moment. This is a free service that operates on Monday evenings (except public holidays) from 4.30pm -5.15pm. Please note we operate a Child Protection Policy

Women's Drumming Group, (Shenanigans)

Due to popularity of the children's group and the many requests we have received we have begun a women's drumming group, held on Monday evenings from 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Phone 436310 for details

The Kidz Kru,

which runs early evening youth clubs for those 5 -13 years (Kidz Kru), these include all day events in the summer for all the family, and cost effective trips during school holidays to encourage family outings. They participate in Arts & Crafts, Cooking, VIP Programme, fun trips such as Bowling etc. At present there is an ever growing waiting list to join this group. This is a free group that runs on Tuesday evenings from 4.30 - 5.30pm. Please note we operate a Child Protection Policy

World Around Us Group

A youth group learning about other countries and their cultures etc. They are currently researching Canada and are planning to visit Toronto in October 2007. We have liaised with a school who are allowing the group to spend the day at their school attending lessons. We have a full 10 day activity schedule organised. The children have begun to fundraise and are doing extremely well so far. Please note we operate a Child Protection Policy

Talking Book Club

A reading group for all who are interested in developing their reading skills, by reading and listening to an audio book. This group/activity has been requested by young and old alike. We obtained a grant from Kirkton, Ardler & St Mary's Youth Strategy which enabled us to purchase the equipment required. Thursday 4.30 -5.30pm. (Free Group) ALL WELCOME !

Kirkton Krafty Krafters,

the craft group is one of our most successful groups, they produce handmade cards and have proved to be extremely popular and assist in fundraising. They were awarded £4,950 from Awards from All to continue their success. Phone 436310 to speak to Ann regarding joining this group or ordering a card. Please note that this is an independent Group and only uses the building at Kirkton Community Support.
